Throw Modern Handrail Designs a Sleek Curve
Every element of our Empire railing system design is contemporary, at first glance. Then the eye is thrown for a curve. Empire posts feature a cut-away curve that lends a unique quality to the handrail as a whole. Multiple color options are offered for the curved-post construction.
Distinctive glass brackets deliver support while allowing the posts to appear as though they’re floating in air. Combined with the curved post near the brackets, the result is ethereal, yet solid.
Equally substantial in look and feel, the Empire railing system offers flexibility that can complement any architectural style. A wide variety of infill panels are at your disposal, which makes the Empire railing system an easy choice for integrating into any number of settings.

A Mirror Image of Your Creativity
Why should one side of the handrail system have all the fun? The Identic Railing System features an uncommon double-bent stainless steel post design that attaches on one side then bends between the panels’ opening to the other side. The stainless steel posts solidify the handrail system’s overall artistic character.
The Livers Bronze Identic handrail system features colorful, powder-coated mounting hardware, which can mimic just about any color palette your mind can imagine. Along with the powder-coated hardware system, other optional finishes are available. Identic mirrors your creativity in a handrail.

One Singular Sensation
One singular sensation rises from multiple options. The Singular railing system is the epitome of freedom of expression with seven distinctive post shapes and 19 side-mounted post mounting plates from which to choose. Your imagination has to start somewhere.
So let’s begin with choosing between stainless steel and colorful powder-coated steel posts. Next comes the post design with seven options ranging from sleek to crisp curvatures and sharp cuts and bold lines. The posts are thin as to draw the eye to the shape.
Finish your Singular handrail sensation with one of our 19 side-mounted post mounting plates that can accentuate the post design or create a visual juxtaposition. Ultimately the infill panels act as a frame for the Singular’s posts and mounting plates.

To Mix or Not to Mix Metals?
That is the question. The Matrix railing system is inspired by the appeal of mixed metal jewelry. Multiple finishes are available and interchangeable, allowing for a completely customized look. Finish options include blackened steel, polished aluminum, satin and polished stainless steel, and antique, satin or polished bronze. Intermix them or not to achieve the perfect complement to any motif or design.
Matrix’s clean design makes it uniquely flexible. It places the mix of metals and choice of infill panels in the spotlight, which is valuable for architects who lean toward putting their exclusive stamp on the overall look.
The system’s distinctive glass support buttons handle 3⁄8" or 1/2" tempered or laminated glass panels. There are many post mounting options and, like all Livers railing systems, Matrix is a solid, pre-engineered system and will endure a lifetime.

Beautiful Steel Handrails Built to Last
One of the most popular handrailing materials is steel because it’s available in several shapes and forms. Known for its versatility, steel can take on a number of appearances. It’s just a matter of choosing your finish.
Most Common Steel Finishes:
Field Painted Finishes
Blasted Finishes
Patina Finishes
-
Stainless Steel Handrail Design is Virtually Endless
Stainless steel is a clean bright material suited for applications from industrial to the penthouse.
The appearance of stainless steel can take many forms depending on the type of finish that is applied to the metal.
Some of these that are commonly used in architectural applications are:
Satin - Brushed Fibers
Polished Finishes
Blasted Finishes
-
Bronze Handrail Design Requires Extensive Experience
With bronze, it is critical to specify a fabricator, like Livers Bronze that has experience with choosing the proper alloy to use and how to fabricate and finish it. Only experience can guide the design of the final product from the structural standpoint. Alloy selection is critical since bronze alloys can appear to be different colors when used together.
Most Common Bronze Handrail Finishes:
Satin - Brushed Fibers
Polished Finishes
Blasted Finishes
Oxidized Finishes

Glass Handrails Easily Blend or Contrast with So Many Styles
Location. Building codes. Construction codes. Aesthetics and functionality. Application and more. Glass and glass panel railings are a common design element in many buildings and public facilities today because they easily blend or contrast with so many styles. At Livers Bronze, our in-house processes ensure every glass panel railing system retains its original luster and timeless appeal.

Aluminum is the Right Material for Lighter Weight Handrailings
Aluminum is often used when lighter weight railings are desired, such as for picket-type railings found in balconies. However, before deciding on an aluminum handrail, evaluate the structural capacity and select the proper alloys to match.
Often times aluminum is used because it can be anodized. For commercial handrailings, Livers Bronze does not recommend anodizing since it can exhibit color variations between pieces and at all welded connections. If an anodized look is what you want, there are many coatings available on the market that give the color appearance of anodized materials. For example, powder-coating aluminum is a great alternative.

Natural, Warm Look of Durable Hardwood Handrails
Commercial handrails come in a wide variety of hardwood materials, including cherry, oak, cedar and hickory to name a few. Nothing compares to the look and feel of real hardwood. While faux woods may be tempting due to their lower cost, we advise selecting authentic hardwood handrails and avoiding plastic materials because hardwood handrailings are naturally more durable and attractive. Also, plant materials such as bamboo should not be used for handrailings as they lack strength and can be quite flexible.
Regardless of which species of hardwood you choose, load requirements necessitate working with the correct diameter. Small diameter wood railings (1-1/2” or less) are not strong enough to meet loading requirements. Instead, hardwood handrailings should be a minimum of 1-3/4” diameter.

Innovative, Eye-Catching LED Illuminated Handrail Design
LED lighting from Livers Bronze uniquely complements or highlights any architectural and design style. Architects have used our variety of customizable handrailing designs and variety of alternative finishes and mounting options to make design statements in museums, libraries, offices and theaters. LED illumination is 100 percent recessed into our handrails. Dealing with extra wiring or glued on LED lighting strips are never an issue with Livers Bronze handrails.

Cable Handrails Woven to Perfection
Woven wire and stainless steel cables are both very popular choices for decorative infill panels. Stainless steel cables for railing systems should be a minimum of 3/16” in order to minimize the deflection of the cables between the posts. Stranded stainless steel cable and stainless steel fittings are the choice for cable infills. During the design process it should be noted that termination points for cable assemblies is a critical component of the railing design due to the forces exerted by the cables when fully tensioned. Your specified railing supplier should be knowledgeable on the proper design solutions and how to properly execute a cable railing system.
