2026 AUSTIN PROJECTS ON THE HORIZON
Austin Projects on the Horizon:
"Eight projects reached completion in 2025, adding nearly four million sqft to the Austin skyline. Completions include The Modern Residences, Paseo in the Rainey Street District, as well as developments with office space including The Republic and ATX Tower. Six projects are currently under construction, totaling just under 3 million sqft. Among these are Tru by Hilton, the Autography Collection Hotel and the Waterline, which is Texas’ tallest tower. Excitingly, One Ladybird Lake kicked off in early 2026, potentially marking the start of the next development cycle.
21 projects are in the planning stages, including hospitality projects such as Home2 Suites by Hilton and the Graduate Hotel; site redevelopment projects, including Waterloo Records site, the Austin American-Statesman site and the Grant Building; and several additional mixed-use development projects. These developments will add approximately 8.2 million sqft to downtown Austin."
